Background

Autoliv’s global Business Intelligence, Data Analytics team and Integration team have 5 openings of Data Analyst to help grow our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities, and design. This position will also develop analysis and reporting requirements and capabilities. They will work directly with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into data models that can be delivered to a development team for creation.

This person needs to be able to clearly communicate the value of data in a way that can be easily understood by others, as well as be able to approach analytical problems with a strong mix of statistical and mathematical focus. Most importantly they must be able to work with a business user to translate business requirements into a data model that can be executed against.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain data mapping documentation for Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
• Create and maintain entity relationship diagrams to visualize the business relationships within the data (the model).
• Create and maintain conceptual-level data dictionary information.
• Work closely with the Autoliv business partners who use PowerBI and other tools to analyze data coming from the EDW Marts.
• Create and maintain Business Information Models (BIM’s)
• Gather Data Dictionaries and Metadata from Source System and Business partners.

Technology Skills (Required)

• Working knowledge of Data as it is used for Analytical purposes
• Basic SQL Skills

Technology Skills (Nice to have, but not required)

• Any ERP system experience
• ER Studio experience
• Expertise working with data mining, data models, data design, etc.
• Working Knowledge of BI Analytics tools (ex: Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Oracle BI, etc.)
• Familiarity with data extraction / integration tools (ex: Informatica Power Center, Qlik, etc.)

Personal Skills

• Collaboration: Ability and desire to collaborate with other BI, ETL, and Data Analytics team members. Customer service and team orientation is also key.
• Communication Skills: This role will be required to interact with business stakeholders and /or translate data into an understandable format. Must be able to present technical findings in a clear and easy to understand manner to a non-technical audience and have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills (English).
• Analytical & Critical Thinking Skills: Work with facts, figures, and numbers to analyze it and find business relevant conclusions. Math skills and education is also a plus to have.
