Project Overview
The SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) is a framework of languages, libraries, and tools for building enterprise-grade services and applications. It guides developers along a ‘golden path’ of proven best practices and a great wealth of out-of-the-box solutions to recurring tasks. As member of the SAP CAP Academy, you will have the opportunity to work full-time while interacting with a designated mentor, approach technical concepts and develop applications based on business requirements. This is a good occasion for students or graduates to start developing a career in SAP, gain experience within a real team and start putting into practice what they have learned in Uni.
What you can expect & what we want you to do
• We will introduce you to the fundamental skills needed to understand SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and start creating your own programs
• Attend the daily courses according to the learning and development plan
• Get involved in self-study based on the suggested documents
• Develop web-based applications
• Participate in feedback sessions
• Work on project presentations and have you progress evaluated
• Have the opportunity to work on exciting projects after the end of the program
What you are good at & what you’ll need to win
• Final year students, master students or graduates of technical studies such as Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Informatics
• Programming language know-how: knowledge of JS (Vanilla) (beginner level - theoretical and practical knowledge)
• Relational database (e.g. types of relationships, normalization of tables, defining, querying and data manipulation - SQL or CDS)
• Understanding and product development based on technical requirements (based on written requirements, diagrams or concepts) (theoretical knowledge)
• Basic OOP concepts (theoretical knowledge)
• Code reading and understanding abilities
• Knowledge and experience working with: SQL, Object Oriented programming (OOP), Design Patterns, Web API REST/SOAP services, UNIT/Integration testing
• Advanced English language skills, German language skills are a plus
• Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Cloud application development methodologies or practical experiences at the technical points mentioned above
• Communicative, open and sociable person
• Have an openness to learning, can be self-taught and curious
• Teamwork oriented, a team who will understand each other very well and create a good memory from all this experience :)
